Flooding Disaster in Thailand

During Mid October, a crisis broke out in Thailand. It had started to flood in our country causing a lot of damage. Many homes were destroyed and many people died from the flood. I too, am also affected by the flood. On November 1st was when the water reached my house. The water just kept increasing and now it's about waist height. Due to flooding I had to evacuate to a condo in Sukhumvit. The flooding caused a lot of damage to my home, and because of this I can't go back home even if all the water is gone. I have to wait for repairs which would probably cost thousands of baht. Another thing I can't stop worrying about are my pets. They are still at my home but luckily, my gardener insisted on staying to take care of them and the house, which was very generous of her. The flooding is really scary and it causes me and my family, and I'm sure a lot of other people, a tremendous amount of stress. I hope that the water will decrease soon and that everyone else is safe! C:

  1. Paully, It's been difficult to read the blog posts from those of you who have been flooded. My heart goes out to you. Your gardener definitely has tremendous compassion for your pets and your family to stay and help out. The instances of people assisting friends and strangers throughout the floods will be something I remember fondly even long after I leave Thailand. Thanks for your post.
